First of all, I am very thankful to all those who took time and viewed my blog and gave me comments to encourage my writing.
So, as I mentioned in my first article, it is going to be a series since expressing your childhood experiences and cherish those memories cant be just put in to few pages....while I write this, I can recall a few very good lines (sung by Jagjit Singh)
"Yeh daulat bhi le lo, yeh shauhrat bhi le lo...bhale cheen lo mujhse meri jawani...magar mujhko lauta do bachpan ka sawan...woh kagaz ki kashti woh bareesh ka pani"
These are very touching lines which actually denotes that all of us are so desperate with our current life style and the way things are happening around us...that we really want to go back to our childhood days....and even ready to give up every belonging we have....this is really superb.
We enjoyed every bit of our childhood....
we never fall ill even we had golgappas from the street hawker....
we never fall ill even we played in dust and made homes...
we had kacche ber....lal imli...kamrak....budiya ke baal or na jane kya kya....
never slept in AC and even slept without the mosquito net...but not fallen ill because of mosquito bite...
not got so many vaccinations...but have been very healthy till now....
no electricity especially in evening....means great fun of life....
had quarreled with our fellow friends....but our parents never came in between....
the neighbourhood uncle gave Rs.5/- and brought his milk and had a great sense of pride that we have helped someone.
stolen lot of amroods/gulab ke phool and kache aam...from trees and got scolding as well...but forgotten everything...when looked at our achievements....WOW....
Holli the colour of festival....no one stopped us to put colour and water
But now.........everything has been changed......there is no feeling of intimacy, no sense of camaraderie for each other....what has happened to us....whereas all of a sudden people have become richer and have lot of amenities to provide more comforts....our lives would have been better with these extra gadgets and advancement of technology...........but sorry to say...today we have everything with us...lot of channels on TV...video game....MC D burger...Pizza, we can afford AC....but we are not happy...WHY........lets do introspection deep in our heart and try to find out...what actually went wrong and everything has been changed so drastically....eventhough we have more money and other facilities with us today....but no PEACE...
contd...........

Hello,
ReplyDeleteyou know these are the things we think about the whole day, looking at how we can make it happen and so on.
You penned them down on paper and shared with us, it really wakes us up saying where we are and whether we cherish those times ever or not.
I guess on today's lifestyle, its really hard but we can surly think about that.
Another amazing thought of your pen.
Keep writing!
cheers!
mulhid.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteAppreciate for this gr8 thought, some time I realise the same thing but don't know how to catch that unforgettable moments again.I wish I could grow up once again and enjoy the same :)
Hi Asawari, I am glad to have visited your blog. Welcome to the blogging world.
ReplyDeleteYour post reminded me of the song from '3 Idiots': "Give me some sunshine, give me some rain, give me another chance I wanna grow up once again." Indeed, childhood is one such age that we keep going back to often especially when we have entered the world of the so called 'sensible adults' -- it is this sensibility of this age that deprives of the joys of life.
Thanks for sharing such inspiring thoughts.
It is choices we make for ourselves that has landed up in the path to nowhere. The challenge here is that can we conjure up enough will to break out of this shell and make ourselves do what we always wanted to do? If not, then we have perhaps submitted to the fact that we are doomed or are lazy to even try (which in other words still means we have submitted).
ReplyDeleteThere is no point in ranting. It is more worthwhile getting out in the open and enjoying all the things we enjoyed doing outside in our childhood. But then we are apprehensive too, thinking what the other person will think if you danced in the rain or played with mud! The challenge is are able to shed all apprehensions and inhibitions and simply "break free".
Cheers!
